Question 1

Are you a 24/7 emergency auto locksmith?

Accepted Answer

Yes, call 07472 427640 any time, day or night. From our Tamworth base we're usually with local customers in 20, 30 minutes and across the wider West Midlands in 45, 75 minutes. Lost keys, snapped keys, keys locked inside the vehicle, we'll be there.

Question 2

Will you damage my car or van to get me in?

Accepted Answer

No. We're non-destructive vehicle entry specialists, using manufacturer-grade auto-locksmith tooling. Cars, vans and motorbikes are opened without damage to the lock, glass or trim, no smashed windows, no jammed doors.

Question 3

Which makes and models do you cut and program keys for?

Accepted Answer

All major car and van manufacturers, Audi, BMW, Ford, Mercedes, Renault, VW, Vauxhall, Jaguar, Land Rover and many more, plus DAF, Iveco, MAN, Scania and Volvo on the commercial side. Cars, vans, motorbikes, HGVs and plant. If your make isn't listed on the site, give us a call to confirm.

Question 4

What's the difference between a spare key and an all-keys-lost replacement?

Accepted Answer

With a working key in hand we can clone or read the immobiliser data directly, much faster and cheaper than a full all-keys-lost reset. If every key is gone we run dealer-level diagnostics to wipe the old keys and program a brand new one. Either way you're back on the road same-day.

Question 5

How much does a replacement car key cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on make, model, year and whether it's a basic transponder or a smart/proximity key, replacement car keys start from around £180, spares from £120. We always confirm a fixed price up front before any work starts. No call-out fees, no hidden extras.

Question 6

Do you need proof of ownership?

Accepted Answer

For all-keys-lost jobs we'll ask to see the V5 logbook (or current insurance) plus photo ID before we cut and program. It's a TASSA requirement and it protects you as much as us.

Question 7

What is the Autowatch Ghost-II immobiliser?

Accepted Answer

The Ghost-II is a Thatcham and TASSA verified aftermarket CAN-bus immobiliser. Your car won't start until you enter a unique PIN sequence using existing buttons on the steering wheel, door cards or dashboard. There's no LED, no key-fob receiver and nothing for thieves to detect, it defeats key cloning and relay theft. We're an approved installer and typically fit one in 2, 3 hours on-site.

Question 8

Do you fit trackers? Which systems do you install?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're an authorised dealer/installer for ScorpionTrack (Thatcham S5/S5+/S7) and Meta Trak (S5 Deadlock, S5 VTS, S7 ATS), all insurance-recognised with 24/7 monitoring. We'll help you pick the right tier for your vehicle and insurer with no upselling.

Question 9

Can you secure my van against break-ins?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, van security is a big part of what we do. We're approved installers for Locks 4 Vans (L4V) and Van Guard, fitting deadlocks, slamlocks, hook locks, anti-peel plates and aftermarket immobilisers to all major van models. Single vans or whole fleets, service and repair included.

Question 10

My van's been broken into, can you repair it and stop it happening again?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We repair skinned, peeled and prised doors then fit internal/external steel reinforcement plates, replacement locks, slamlocks and Ghost-II immobilisers to stop the same attack working twice. Most repairs done on-site, same day.

Question 11

Can you repair or replace a worn or vandalised ignition barrel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on-site barrel repair, rekey or full replacement for cars, vans, motorbikes and HGVs. Where possible we'll rekey the new ignition to your existing key so you're not left carrying two.

Question 12

Do you offer trade and fleet accounts?

Accepted Answer

We do. Fleet operators, dealers, body shops and small businesses across the Midlands get priority response, trade rates and a single point of contact. Call us to set one up.
